Teddy for a Toonie 2019: ATB Financial
by: Austin Havens

Teddy for a Toonie is an annual corporate fundraising campaign that supports children’s hospitals in Alberta. Since 1999, the campaign has raised over CDN$10 million through a combination of grassroots community fundraising initiatives led by each of our over 300 branches and agencies and ATB-wide internal fundraising initiatives on a corporate level. The 2019 campaign was significant and required strategic communications support as it marked the 20th anniversary and was the first time the funds raised would go towards supporting mental health resources and facilities for children in Alberta.

To be successful, we needed to engage and inspire all team members to participate in the campaign, equip branches and agencies to run their own grassroots initiatives, celebrate and share important campaign milestones and maintain momentum.
