Elizabeth Williams and Andrew Brown

Elizabeth Williams is an award-winning communications expert who helps organizations have better conversations with employees, customers and other stakeholders. Prior to co-founding The Academy of Business Communications, Williams was the head of brand and communications for ADP Canada, and previously held senior roles at Rogers Communications, Constellation Software, Bank of Montreal and Aon. Williams is a passionate advocate for improving organizational communications. She is a frequent industry speaker and writer and, along with her business partner Andrew Brown, hosts The Swear Jar Podcast. She works with a range of clients including Telus, Shoppers Drug Mart and Hilton Hotels. Her work has been recognized with a Gold Quill Award and a Silver Leaf Award. She has a master’s degree in communications and is currently pursuing a doctorate with a focus on leadership communications skills. She is a part-time professor at Centennial College in Toronto.

For more than 25 years, Andrew Brown has helped companies harness communications to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances. He has worked in more than 15 different industries, spanning technology, professional services and financial services, as well as throughout the public sector. Together, Brown and Williams launched The Academy of Business Communications because there remains a widely-held perception that employee comms make things nice and just publish stuff. They saw employee comms professionals stuck on a treadmill of pointlessness — frustrated and overworked. That's why The Academy of Business Consulting helps employee comms professionals develop the skills, the processes, and confidence they need to be able to make contributions that make organizations wildly successful.
